Regional Championships WEST 2025

Our WEST regional final for STEM Racing 2025 took place last weekend and we are delighted to have qualified out of 99 teams for the German Championship 2025 We will represent Hesse in May and compete with the 11 best teams in Germany. Here is a short summary of the events of the last few days

report

On 07 February, the West German STEM Racing Championship took place in Hennef (Sieg) in North Rhine-Westphalia. We succeeded in becoming the Hessen state champion, which gave us the right to represent the state of Hesse at the German championships on 16-17 May in Neuburg on the Danube. In addition to the race, we also had to give a presentation about our team stand (pit stop/pit display) and a presentation about the development process of our vehicle. We managed to qualify despite the time pressure and despite the fact that it was our first Stem Racing Championship and the competition was strong. Some teams such as ‘Roadrunners’ had their own test track at their disposal, others had a technical partnership with technical colleges which developed and provided them with tyres. Despite these hurdles, we managed to beat many of these teams in the race or build up a gap of hundredths of a second with our limited resources. In the end, we ended up in the middle of the overall championship, but were still able to gain important experience, information, suggestions for improvement and tips for the next competition by exchanging ideas with other teams such as Nanox or Roadrunners, with 2 young people who came 3rd at the German championships last year and the judges who assessed our portfolios, our team stand and our presentation.
